Designed with a great deal of utility in mind, whether traversing the waters or when out in the backcountry on foot. For fire-making, it is the perfect companion for producing kindling as well as for harvesting and spitting wood. Additionally, it is portable enough to be an all-purpose tool in the backcountry when clearing a way or keeping a trail or bank access open. The Canoe Axe is delivered with a leather sheath which is made in Lithuania.
Maintenance: Never store your axe in an extremely dry or humid location.- Do not use the back of the head of the axe as a pounding tool as this could cause damage.- Keep the leather sheath and handle protected by applying linseed oil to extend the product life. Also apply linseed oil to the eye of the axe regularly. The axe should be inspected before each use to ensure that there is no damage or looseness of the axe head.
Safety: Use only with approved eyed protection to protect from flying debris which may result in eye or other injury. Use this tool for cutting wood only. Contact with a non-wood object may result in blade or head chipping. Do not use if blade is chipped, dull or damaged or if the handle is broken or loose. The blade is sharp; handle with care. Contact with blade may result in injury. Keep out of reach of children.
